Description of Hesselhoej Donkey Boss
An exceptional stallion bred for success with a proven, high performance dam-line and full brother to Hesselhoej Downtown!
Hesselhoej Donkey Boss has been tested negative for FFS and is therefore not a carrier of the gene.
Group 1 in X-ray (back, neck and legs)
Fantastic sperm quality.
A stallion in a class of his own
The judges described him as: An expressive, tall, and modern stallion with action and mechanics in all three gaits that are far above average.
Hesselhoej Donkey Boss is the full brother of Hesselhøj Downtown who won WCYH for 5 years old in 2021, and went on to won silver as a 6 years old. Just as he won the championship final for both 4 and 5 year olds in Denmark. Donkey Boss is after the well known stallion Hesselhøj Donkey Boy, who is the only horse to have won the Championship finals in Denmark as a 4, 5, 6 and 7 year old! Hesselhøj Donkey Boy was a Premium stallion at 3 years old and subsequently won his Stallion performance test. He received bronze at WCYH at 5 years old and silver at WCYH at 7 years old. Additionally, as one of the youngest stallions, he has been named elite stallion at the age of just 8 years old and stallion of the year in 2023 at just 11 years old!
Donkey Boss has had a sensational start on his breeding career, from his first crop he produced the premium stallion and price record who was sold for 2.000.000,- Euro at Hannoverian stallion licensing 2024. Fullbrother Hesselhoej Downtown also had an incredible start on his breeding career, he sired the mare of the year in DWB 2024 from his second crop of offsprings despite covering less than 30 mares, a year his first two years of breeding.
Pedigree
The mother of Hesselhoej Donkey Boss is Boogie Woogie, a silver medal mare with a fantastic riding test of 851.00 points including a 9.5 in walk! During the 5 year old championship in Herning, she was placed as No. 9 and has proved many times that she is one of the best mares in her age. Boogie Woogie has since been ridden through S-dressage under Anders Hoeck and they have had many victories and placements with up to 75%.
The grandmother of Hesselhoej Donkey Boss is Kabooki, she was named a silver medal mare after passing one of the year’s highest riding tests. Kabooki has therefore, been named elite mare because of the great performance of her offspring.
Grandsire Blue Hors Zack needs no further presentation. He has been a regular part of the Danish national team for many years including a win in the Danish Championships in 2019. He has many offspring at top international level and has really shown his impact through his many approved sons, WCYH medal winners and, highly decorated mares.
Great grandsire Ragazzo is behind many successful horses in both breeding and sport. Ragazzo himself is the full brother of Donnerschlag who competed through Grand Prix dressage. Further out you will find the Schwadroneur who was also successful in the International Grand Prix ring!

- If the mare loses the foal after the 2. rate is paid: Hesselhoej offers the breeder the 2. rate amount for the next breeding season.
