A unique bloodline with exceptional performance
The sire is Hesselhoej Donkey Boy, who is the only horse ever to have won the Danish Championship Finals as a 4-, 5-, 6-, and 7-year-old. Already as a 3-year-old, he was awarded Premium Stallion status and subsequently won his performance test.
Moreover, he won bronze at the World Championships for Young Horses as a 5-year-old and silver as a 7-year-old. As a result of his exceptional achievements, he was named Elite Stallion at just 8 years old, making him one of the youngest stallions ever to receive this title.
In addition, Hesselhoej Donkey Boy is the sire of Hesselhoej Down Town, a gold and silver medalist at the World Championships for Young Horses.
The damsire, Tailormade Lancelot, is an international Grand Prix horse and has been part of the British national squad.
The great-grandsire, Blue Hors Don Schufro, needs little introduction. He is a former Danish Champion and Olympic bronze medalist. In addition, he ranked number one on the German dressage breeding index ten times. He is also the sire of the legendary Weihegold and has more than 100 offspring competing at international level.
In the fourth generation, you find the Stallion of the Year 1999, Midt West Ibi Light. He himself competed at the Olympic Games in Atlanta. Furthermore, he appears in the pedigree of many top horses, including the Mare of the Year, Lyndelygaards Mai Tai, who still holds the highest performance test score ever recorded. Notably, she is also the great-granddam of Hesselhoej Double Up.
A strong-performing dam line.
The dam line is truly unique, and there are very few stallions with such a strong record of performance in their pedigree.
The granddam is the silver medal mare Søbakkehus Mia Bella. She delivered an outstanding performance by winning the 4-year-old championship and later competed at Grand Prix level under Joachim Thomsen. In breeding, she is the granddam of four championship finalists, three licensed stallions—two of which are premium stallions—and a young horse championship winner.
The dam, Søbakkehus Miami, is the full sister of Søbakkehus Lady Gaga, who is the dam of the premium stallion Hesselhoej Gnags. He was sold at the Danish Warmblood Auction for 1,250,000 DKK, making him the second most expensive stallion ever.
Miami’s half-sister, Søbakkehus Mia Amore, is the dam of Søbakkehus Maude, winner of the 2022 Young Horse Championship and a finalist at the World Championships for Young Horses. She is also the dam of Søbakkehus Delayed, a finalist in the 4-year-old championship.
Søbakkehus Miami herself is the dam of Hesselhoej Dream, who has been selected as a reserve for the World Championships for Young Horses and has competed in the championship finals as a 4-, 5-, and 6-year-old.
The great-granddam, Lyndelygaards Mai Tai, was awarded Mare of the Year and still holds the highest performance test score ever recorded.
Foal Guarantee for Breeders
The Foal guarantee covers breeders whose mare does not get in foal, or loses the foal before birth.
- If the mare does not become pregnant in the current breeding season: Hesselhoej offers the breeder the amount of 1. rate for the next breeding season.
- If the mare loses the foal after the 2. rate is paid: Hesselhoej offers the breeder the 2. rate amount for the next breeding season.
Please note that the 2. rate will be “free”, but that the 1. rate must be paid again.
This gives the breeder extra security if the mare does not foal, or if the mare loses the foal after the 2. rate is paid.
